Charge Canisters serve as barrels to store extra energy before a shot and to immediately supply that energy to weapon for the shot is fired quickly. Over use of them can cause the weapon to breakdown as it was not design for those levels of energy.

Though their appearance varies, they are usually cylinder shape and often, but not always, are transparent, allowing the internal energy to be seen.
