Less a class of ship and more of an umbrella term

The term Pirate Cruisers refers to any star ship modified for use in illegal activity. These ships are usually originally civilian craft that were then modified to be used in combat and given a custom paint job. This has resulted in them being often asymmetrical.
Common Upgrades[]
- Weaponry: From blasters to turbo lasers, these crafts often have to be given weapons, or replace the weaker 'civilian issue' weapons they originally had.
- Engines: To be able to catch other civilian vessels and run from the authorities
- Shields: Besides shields for cosmic radiation, civilian vessel usually don't have shields, or very strong ones at that.
